Sometimes if you forgot PDF password, thing can get tricky. You have no option but to crack the protected PDF documents and remove the password in order to edit, copy or print these PDF files. PDF Password Remover is a small yet powerful PDF decryption tool that enables Mac users to remove copying and printing restrictions from encrypted PDF files without requiring the password. Download link below:
Step 1: Import PDF files
Choose "File" -> "Add PDF Files" in the menu bar to add PDF files to the program window. Or you can drag PDF files stored on your computer and drop them into the panel.
There are two type of different levels of workarounds for two possible password-protected scenariOS.
A) When there are copying, editing or printing restrictions on PDF with Owner password, the program can remove Owner Password directly without requiring the password and then you can directly access these permissions of the PDF.
B) If the PDF file is encrypted with Open Password, you need to have the legal right and enter a password to open the encrypted PDF document itself. Otherwise the file will be skipped for decryption. (It's reasonable because the Open Password is set by authors to protect copyrights of their works. You can't get access to the file without permission.)
If you have permission to get access to the file, just click on the lock icon beside the PDF file and type correct password in the pop-up box to unlock the PDF file for decryption.
Step 2: Set output folder
Choose PDF Password Remover-> Preferences… in the menu bar, you can specify a location for the output files.
Step 3: Start cracking PDF password and restrictions
Click "Start" button to begin the decrypt process. The decryption will be finished in seconds.
That is all! Now you can edit/copy/print the PDF file.
